The webinar video recording requires completion of a follow-up quiz with 80% or greater accuracy (multiple attempts allowed) in order to download a certificate of completion for the program. Chase Kryger

AWC Special Inspector at CMT Engineering Laboratories
Mr. Kryer joined CMT in 2013 as an AWC special inspector. Mr. Kryer has over 11 years’ experience in the steel industry providing quality control inspection at SME Steel Contractors for seven years and as a pipe fitter and welder at SME for three years. His current role at CMT is project manager for the Northern Utah area. Mr. Kryer holds certification in steel, welding, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, ICC structural masonry and ICC structural steel and bolting.

Charlie Trujillo

Marketing Manager at CMT Engineering Laboratories
Mr. Trujillo joined CMT in 2013 as the marketing manager. Mr. Trujillo oversees the marketing for special inspection and materials testing services as well as the geotechnical engineering for the entire organization. He brings over 32 years of experience in the testing industry all of which have been in the intermountain front. He has provided the administration and quality control management for both field and laboratory operations on many projects including medium and high-rise structures as well as civil roadway and rail projects. His involvement with UTA’s Light Rail went from the corridor and all the way to the University Hospital. He also worked and managed many high-rise projects that make up the Salt Lake skyline today. Mr. Trujillo has overseen many contracts at the Salt Lake International Airport for both geotechnical and material testing, and he has maintained a multi-year steel testing and inspection contract and two years of an on-call materials testing and special inspection contract. Mr. Trujillo is involved with well over $1 billion in construction each year. He provided quality control oversight on all of the IHC Hospitals and most clinics built in Utah since 2004. In addition, he was part of the team that provided the testing and inspection services for the Utah Data Center project in Lehi, Utah. This massive NSA Data Center was well over $1.6 billion in construction. Prior to joining CMT, Mr. Trujillo was general manager/principal for Consolidated Engineering Laboratories.

Doug Watson

President of CMT Engineering Laboratories
Mr. Watson joined CMT in 2000. As president of CMT Engineering Laboratories, he is responsible for the overall management of the company which services include PEPG Consulting – Civil Engineering, Surveying, Project Management and CMT Engineering Laboratories - Geotechnical, Materials Testing, Special Inspections, Inorganic Analysis, Asphalt Binder and Emulsions Testing, Concrete Petrography, and Precision Calibration. Mr. Watson brings over 35 years’ experience and knowledge in the materials testing industry. Over the years he has been involved in material evaluation, forensic investigations, product research and design of both HMA and PCCP pavement. His specialized training includes: advanced design and troubleshooting, pavement rehabilitation, and advanced troubleshooting of Portland cement concrete. Mr. Watson’s experience in hot mix asphalt design and QA/QC testing is unmatched throughout Utah. CMT Engineering Laboratories maintains three highly qualified design laboratories and provides exceptional quality controland research and development work in the state primarily due to Mr. Watson’s knowledge and expertise. Mr. Watson has extensive knowledge in UDOT, FAA, Army Corp of Engineers, and BLM specifications, and his company has performed services for major structural and civil projects requiring one or more of these specifications. CMT Engineering Laboratories, under the leadership of Mr. Watson, has received multiple awards from the American Concrete Association, American Concrete Paving Association and was awarded UDOT’s Consultant Laboratory of the year 2009-2014, 2016.
