Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.


Certificates of completion will be provided for each webinar attended and will be sent via email in PDF form about five business days after the date of the conclusion of the series.


Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

David Brignati, AIA, LEED AP BD+C/Homes

Newport Ventures, Inc. 
Mr. Brignati has over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture and project management. With familiarity in both commercial and residential design, he brings a unique perspective to energy efficiency and high performance design as well as an understanding of the various codes required for the design and construction of a building.

At Newport Ventures, Mr. Brignati is part of the team training code officials, architects and builders in issues related to the current energy code. Prior to joining Newport Ventures, Mr. Brignati has been involved with many building types ranging from industrial, medical, retail and educational to production and custom homes. With a background and deep interest in building science in addition to environmental design and sustainability, he was the team leader for the first home in New York’s Capitol Region to achieve LEED® Gold certification.

Mr. Brignati is a registered architect in the states of New York and New Hampshire, a LEED® accredited professional with specialties in Building Design and Construction as well as Homes, a member of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the Committee On The Environment through the American Institute of Architects of Eastern New York as well as an ICC certified commercial energy inspector and residential energy inspector/plans examiner. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
