This seminar is open to the public and offers up to 6.5 HSW continuing education hours (TX CEPHs) to architects, and 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers in all states. Educators and courses are not pre-approved in Texas.

The American Institute of Architects has approved this event for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885).

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for architects in Florida and is deemed an approved sponsor in New York. HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (NYSED Sponsor No. 35), North Carolina, and North Dakota.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Speakers:

Ray Meyer, P.E.

Vice President with Paradigm Consultants, Inc.
Mr. Meyer has over 40 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials engineering and testing, environmental assessments and forensic investigations. His practice focuses on dealing with expansive and soft soils conditions, soil-structure interaction and foundation and paving constructibility issues. Mr. Meyer earned his BSCE and MCE degrees from the University of Houston. He is a professional engineer in the states of Texas and Arkansas and a licensed corrective action project manager with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Mr. Meyer is an adjunct professor for the College of Engineering Technology, Department of Construction Management at the University of Houston-Main Campus where he instructs courses in Construction Materials Testing and Soils and Foundation Engineering. He is a past president of the University of Houston Engineering Alumni Association, a past director of the Texas Council of Engineering Laboratories-Houston branch, and a past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ National Deep Foundation Committee.
