Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects and 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers in California. Continuing education is not mandatory for license maintenance in California.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Partial attendance cannot be reported to the AIA.

Architects and engineers seeking continuing education credit in other states will be able to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

The International Code Council has approved this activity for .7 CEUsin the specialty area of Building.

This course also offers a 7.0 hour continuing education opportunity for construction contractors. Credit approval is not being sought in any state with a contractor continuing education requirement.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.


Neville R. Pereira, P.E., CBO

Principal Engineer of Transtech Engineers, Inc.
Mr. Pereira is the principal engineer of Transtech Engineers, Inc. where he functions as the engineering, policy, and technical expert for the building and public works group for the company. Mr. Pereira provides hands-on technical expertise in architecture, engineering, and construction, as well as proven management oversight of engineering, inspection, and business administrative groups. He is responsible for architectural, civil and/or structural design of over a hundred low-rise buildings and public works projects. He reviews construction documents, and approves and inspects low, mid and high-rise private and public structures of all types. Mr. Pereira is a professional engineer in the State of California and is certified as a building official, plans examiner, accessibility specialist, and building inspector through the International Code Council (ICC). He is a member of the ICC Building Officials Membership Governing Council and Code Development Committee. Mr. Pereira is also an adjunct professor for construction management at the College of the Canyons.
