This seminar is open to the public and offers 6.5 HSW continuing education/contact hours to architects and landscape architects and 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers in most states, including Ohio. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Ohio.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J8850) and the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education Systems for 6.5 HSW PDHs.

Ms. Avalos founded Accessology in 1990 after 12 years in the airline industry, where she played a crucial role in ensuring industry compliance with the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA). Since then, Accessology has grown to provide not only state plan reviews and inspections, but also national and international consulting services. Considered a true expert in her field, Ms. Avalos is also a sought-after witness for ADA/ACAA legal cases and has been named on more than 40 cases nationwide. Recognizing the value of educating others on the importance of removing attitudinal architectural barriers, she proudly offers training on both federal and state accessibility standards throughout the US.
