Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers, 6.5 HSW continuing education hours to architects, and 6.5 HSW CPE hours to landscape architects in New Mexico. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in New Mexico.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885) and the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System for 6.5 HSW PDHs. Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES and LA/CES.

New Mexico architects, engineers, and landscape architects with continuing education requirements in other states will be able to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility, or contact HalfMoon Education for assistance.

The Association of State Floodplain Managers has approved this event for 6.5 CECs.

This course offers a non-credit continuing education opportunity to construction contractors. It has not been approved by any state contractor licensing entity.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Speakers:

Kevin Boesch, CPESC

Senior Permitting Specialist at Logan Simpson Design
Mr. Boesch has over 15 years of Clean Water Act (CWA) Sections 401, 402, and 404 permitting and dust control experience. He is responsible for conducting all site inspections and stormwater monitoring for Logan Simpson’s active stormwater and dust control projects. His primary job roll includes routine environmental monitoring, training, and stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPPs) production for large energy and infrastructure projects. Mr. Boesch has conducted stormwater training, inspections, best management practice (BMP) and stormwater control measure installation oversight, and environmental protection administration for contractors during the construction of several large linear projects to bring those projects’ stormwater documents and work activities into compliance with state departments of environmental quality Construction General Permit requirements. He has also been responsible for site management for pre-construction activities on Impaired Waters and Outstanding Arizona Waters (OAW) construction projects. Mr. Boesch was a primary author of the Maricopa County, Arizona, Dust Abatement Handbook and Field Guide, and he served as the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) district environmental coordinator for the Globe District. He authored the ADOT SWPPP template and stormwater monitoring sampling and analysis plan template. Mr. Boesch is the facilitator of the ADOT/Associated General Contractors (AGC) Erosion Control Coordinator (ECC) courses and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT)/Las Vegas Associated General Contractors (LVAGC)/Nevada Contractors Association (NCA) Water Pollution Control Manager (WPCM) training courses.
