Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects in all states, except Florida architects.  This course also offers 7.0 continuing education hours to New Hampshire home inspectors.  Educators and course are not subject to preapproval in New Hampshire.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885).  Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey (Approval No. 24GP00000700), New York (NYSEDSponsor No. 35), North Carolina, and North Dakota.  HalfMoon Education is deemed an approved architect continuing education sponsor in New York.

The International Code Council has approved this event for .7 CEUs in the specialty area of Building.

This course offers a non-credit continuing education opportunity to contractors.  It has not been approved by any state contractor licensing board.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminarfor most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.


Ryan R. Roy, PE

Whitestone Associates, Inc.

Mr. Roy is a licensed professional engineer in 13 states and the District of Columbia and has managed projects throughout the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States for over 25 years.  As a regional manager and principal, Mr. Roy manages Whitestone’s Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and Southborough, Massachusetts, offices and is responsible for Whitestone’s New England operations. Mr. Roy has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and inspection, and environmental services.  Mr. Roy’s has completed hundreds of forensic investigations of deficient construction materials and techniques.  Investigations have included review and testing of materials ranging from soils, concrete, pavement, and groundwater to building materials such as structural steel, vapor barriers, and spray-foam insulation.  Additionally, Mr. Roy has served as an expert witness on many cases where construction deficiencies have led to litigation.
