These seminars are open to the public and offers 2.0 PDHs in professional engineering ethics to engineers licensed in Maryland (Category A), New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. It offers 3.0 CPCs in professional ethics to Delaware engineers. These courses are intended to fulfill the ethics requirements for engineers licensed in Maryland, New Jersey and New York. Pennsylvania engineers do not have an ethics continuing education requirement. The hours earned at this seminar can be applied to the general requirement.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for engineers in New Jersey (Approval No, 25GP00000700), New York (NYSED Sponsor No. 35), and Maryland. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Engineers seeking continuing education credit in other states will be able to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Attendance will be monitored and attendance certificates will be mailed to all participants after the seminar. HalfMoon Education will report attendance for Florida engineers.

Speakers:

Anthony S. Potter

Anthony S. Potter is an attorney at law practicing in the Harrisburg Office of Offit Kurman. Mr. Potter focuses his practice on representation of design professionals in all phases of the construction process including contracting, risk allocation, pre-claim resolution, mediation, arbitration, and construction litigation. In addition, Mr. Potter provides counsel and representation to architects, engineers, and others on administrative law questions including professional licensing matters. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Civil Engineering and Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology Programs at Penn State Harrisburg. Mr. Potter is frequently called upon to provide seminars for design professionals and architectural and engineering students on loss prevention, standard form construction contract documents, construction litigation, professional licensing and professional ethics. He has represented clients before administrative agencies, the Commonwealth Court, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Previously, Mr. Potter was assistant general counsel to Governor Tom Ridge. Mr. Potter is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Maryland, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He received his law degree with honors from Widener University School of Law in 1995 and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Millersville University in 1991.
