Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 PDHs, including 1.0 ethics hour, to professional engineers and 7.0 HSW CEPHs/continuing education hours to architects in all states, except Florida architects. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Texas.

The American Institute of Architects has approved this event for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (NYSED Sponsor No. 35), North Carolina, and North Dakota. HalfMoon Education is deemed an approved architect continuing education sponsor in New York.

The International Code Council has approved this event for .7 CEUs in the specialty area of Building.

This seminar offers contractors a non-credit continuing education opportunity. It has not been submitted to any state contractor licensing entity for continuing education approval.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Speakers:

Michael Fiebig, RA, AIA, NCARB, LEED GA, CFPS, CEP

Michael Fiebig holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree, and a Master of Architecture degree, both from the University of Colorado. He is a licensed architect in more than a dozen states, providing both design and consulting services to clients throughout the country. Mr. Fiebig is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, as well as an NCARB certificate holder. He is a LEED Green Associate, a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, and a Certified EIFS Industry Professional.  As a forensic architect, Mr. Fiebig provides analysis of standard of care in design and construction projects, helping to evaluate problematic buildings for a variety of purposes. He performs cause and origin analyses of building system installations and failures, including roofing systems, window and door systems, exterior wall cladding systems, waterproofing systems, foundation systems, with a specialization in fire-protection systems and EIFS cladding. As a design architect, Mr. Fiebig provides architectural design services for residential and commercial buildings, and he provides code consulting for clients, specializing in life/safety, egress, and fire protection requirements. He also provides traditional architectural services during construction including special inspections when required by the jurisdiction of authority. Mr. Fiebig’s experience includes dozens of court and deposition testimonies regarding standards of care in professional design, construction, and the built environment.  Mr. Fiebig holds active memberships in many professional organizations including the AIA, NCARB, NFPA, ICC, and others.

Christopher Moulder

Technical Director at Pie Consulting and Engineering
Mr. Moulder is a licensed professional engineer in seven states, and he has over 20 years’ experience in structural engineering. He is proficient in the design, analysis and rehabilitation of residential and commercial building systems. Having done both new construction and rehabilitation projects, Mr. Moulder has developed a portfolio of knowledge of what works and does not work for a structure’s performance. Currently, Mr. Moulder serves as the technical director for Pie Consulting & Engineering and works out of their Texas offices in The Colony.
Mr. Moulder has been with Pie since 2008, and he is a veteran of the United State Marine Corps.
