Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 6.5 HSW continuing education hours to architects in most states, including Colorado architects. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Colorado.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES.

This course also offers 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers in all states with mandatory continuing education.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida, Indiana (License No. CE21700059), Maryland, New Jersey (Approval No. 24GP00000700), New York (NYSED Sponsor No. 35), North Carolina, and North Dakota. Kristi Avalos is president and CEO of Accessology Too, LLC, a firm dedicated to providing consulting services to building owners, architects, municipalities and company owners regarding compliance with state and federal disability laws. Ms. Avalos founded Accessology in 1990 after 12 years in the airline industry, where she played a crucial role in ensuring industry compliance with the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA). Since then, Accessology has grown to provide not only state plan reviews and inspections, but also national and international consulting services. Considered a true expert in her field, Ms. Avalos is also a sought-after witness for ADA/ACAA legal cases and has been named on more than 40 cases nationwide. Recognizing the value of educating others on the importance of removing attitudinal architectural barriers, she proudly offers training on both federal and state accessibility standards throughout the US.
