Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers up to 6.5 HSW contact hours to architects and 6.5 PDHs to engineers in all states, except Florida architects. Educators and courses for Massachusetts architects are not subject to pre-approval.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida, Indiana (License No. CE21700059), Maryland, New Jersey (Approval No. 24GP00000700), New York (NYSED Sponsor No. 35), North Carolina, and North Dakota. This seminar offers a non-credit continuing education opportunity to construction contractors. It has not been approved by any state with a construction contractor continuing education requirement.

Attendance will be monitored and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Speakers:

Joshua Huck

Owner at Precision Estimating in Woodstock, CT

Mr. Huck began his estimating career in 1994 while in the US Air Force. Upon leaving in 2000, he worked for general contractors on large commercial projects in Hawaii, Texas, California and Massachusetts. In 2011 he opened up Precision Estimating to serve the needs of design firms, subcontractors and developers providing pre-construction services such as estimating, scheduling and constructability reviews. Most of his firm’s projects involve parks and recreation areas for municipalities, office buildings, restaurants, high-end luxury homes, universities and specialty gaming.

Mr. Huck employs two part-time estimators and oversees multiple specialty sub-consultants. Precision Estimating serves clients nationwide as well as in Mexico and the Caribbean. In addition to cost estimating, he also teaches estimating courses nationwide to general contractors and design professionals. A native of Texas, he now resides with his wife and kids in Woodstock, Connecticut.
