Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion will be provided for each webinar attended and will be sent via email in PDF form about five business days after the conclusion of the series.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

Michael Perlow Jr. P.E.

Michael Perlow Jr. is a retired civil and geotechnical engineer with more than 40 years of experience in foundation and marine geotechnical engineering with special technical expertise in geo-environmental hazard assessments, failure investigations, sinkhole stabilization, and foundation and utility infrastructure repair. Mr. Perlow is a registered professional engineer and a graduate of Lehigh University with BSCE and MSCE degrees. He is also the author of some 30 technical publications and has presented at numerous conferences, seminars and meetings.

Mr. Perlow has extensive previous North American and international marine geotechnical experience with coastal and offshore projects including regional sewer systems, power plants, numerous outfall-intake pipelines, and offshore platforms. He also participated in the 1976 USGS Atlantic Margin Coring Project (AMCOR) and the Lehigh University Marine Geotechnical Laboratory (MGL) research program to develop geotechnical test areas for the US Navy using deep diving submersibles and a tethered test platform.

Mr. Perlow retired from full-time consulting in April 2015 and continues to work part-time in retirement. He remains the owner of EKMLLC, Engineering Knowledge Management LLC, and is completing publications and an Elsevier book on geo-environmental hazard risk management. In addition, Mr. Perlow is also completing publications on a two-year applied research project focusing on drilled foundation limit state design and pile capacity verification.
