Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers continuing education hours to architects and engineers in most states.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for Florida architects and interior designers (Provider No. 0001388; License No. PVD394). The course is approved for 7.5 HSW continuing education hours for Florida architects and 7.5 hours for Florida interior designers.

The American Institute of Architects has approved this event for 6.5 LU|HSW (Provider No. J885). Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES. The AIA approves LUs using a 60 minute hour versus the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Designers 50 minute hour. Only 6.5 HSW LUs can be reported to the AIA/CES.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for Florida professional engineers (Provider No. 0004647). This course qualifies for 6.5 Area of Practice continuing education hours.

Ms. Avalos founded Accessology in 1990 after 12 years in the airline industry, where she played a crucial role in ensuring industry compliance with the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA). Since then, Accessology has grown to provide not only state plan reviews and inspections, but also national and international consulting services. Considered a true expert in her field, Ms. Avalos is also a sought-after witness for ADA/ACAA legal cases and has been named on more than 40 cases nationwide. Recognizing the value of educating others on the importance of removing attitudinal and architectural barriers, she proudly offers training on both federal and state accessibility standards throughout the US.
