Webinar Instructions

Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.


Certificates of completion will be provided for each webinar attended and will be sent via email in PDF form about five business days after the conclusion of the series.


Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

These live, interactive webinars are designed to qualify for continuing education credit for professional engineers and architects in most states. Please see each webinar listing for the number of available continuing education credits. Course participants need to be aware of any licensing restrictions on online learning to fulfill their continuing education requirements.

Mr. Gipe is a Kentucky native who grew up in Owensboro. He attended the University of Kentucky and Murray State University (MSU) and graduated from MSU with a BS degree in Occupational Safety and Health in 1996. In 2002 Mr. Gipe, started SafetyCraig Consulting. He is one of only a few consultants in the state who hold the CSP certification. SafetyCraig Consulting is an organization focused on providing high-quality occupational health and safety management services for industrial and construction organizations and businesses. The mission of the organization is to help companies reduce incidents and accidents through implementation of modern safety management systems. Course Description: This 2.0 hour live, interactive webinar presentation examines the proper handling of chemical materials, electrical equipment hazards and protection, and the use of personal protective equipment.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to identify common chemical hazards on construction sites.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to obtain and retain material safety data sheets for chemical materials for complying with manufacturers' recommendations for handling materials and responding to spills.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to comply with OSHA requirements for electrical equipment lockout and tagout systems and be able to follow overhead electrical power line safety practices.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to comply with specific requirements for workplace tasks and creating and maintaining safe workplaces.
