Continuing Education Credit Information
This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects in most states, including Pennsylvania. Educators and courses are not subject to pre-approval in Pennsylvania.
Engineers and architects seeking continuing education credit in other states will be able to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.
The American Institute of Architects has approved this course for 7.0 LU|HSW. Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES.
The International Code Council has approved this event for .7 CEUs in the specialty area of Building.
This course offers a non-credit continuing education opportunity to construction contractors. It has not been approved by any contractor licensing entity for mandatory continuing education credit.
Attendance will be monitored and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Course Description: This 7.0 hour live lecture presentation covers Chapters 1-4 and 6-12 and 14 of the International Existing Building Code and the challenges and opportunities with the existing building stock.
Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to discuss the challenges and opportunities available in the existing building stock, the scope and administration of the International Existing Building Code, and explain the three provisions for compliance methods.

Learners will be able to reference and comply with International Exiting Building Code provisions for repairs and alterations.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to reference and comply with International Exiting Building Code provisions for change of occupancy and additions.

Learners will be able to reference and comply with International Exiting Building Code provisions for historic buildings and moved or relocated buildings.
