Webinar Instructions

Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.


Certificates of completion will be provided for each webinar attended and will be sent via email in PDF form about five business days after the conclusion of the series.


Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

These live, interactive webinars are designed to qualify for continuing education credit for professional engineers and architects in most states. Please see each webinar listing for the number of available continuing education credits. Course participants need to be aware of any licensing restrictions on online learning to fulfill their continuing education requirements.

Kristofor L. Kvarfordt

Senior Landscape Architect/Land Planner at Cache Landmark Engineering Inc.

Mr. Kvarfordt is the senior landscape architect/land planner at Cache Landmark Engineering, Inc., located in Logan, Utah. During his 17-year career, he has worked on a broad range of projects throughout Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and California. His experience includes large scale planning, trail and open space master planning, campus master planning and detailed site design and construction management for commercial and institutional projects.

He has had direct responsibility for management and construction observation for several rainwater harvesting, green infrastructure and low impact development projects throughout Cache County and on the Utah State University campus. Mr. Kvarfordt works closely with civil engineers and other project specialists to create plans that are well integrated into all the various components of a project. His expertise is on developing site solutions that meet the needs of the user, while integrating innovative stormwater collection, water sensitivity, treatment and re-use solutions.

Mr. Kvarfordt also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at Utah State University. He is a licensed landscape architect in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Mr. Kvarfordt received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees from Utah State University

Course Title: Infiltrating Stormwater and Maximizing Infiltration

Course Description: This 1.5 live. interactive webinar presentation examines stormwater infiltration principles, measuring infiltration, creating and using infiltration surfaces, and maximizing infiltration.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to create and use surfaces for infiltrating stormwater into soils to reduce stormwater runoff.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to use techniques to measure the amount of stormwater infiltration achieved.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to work with contractors to improve the amount of onsite stormwater infiltration and to reduce stormwater runoff.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to determine acceptable wetness of soils and surfaces when infiltrating stormwater into building site soils.
