Webinar Instructions

Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion will be provided for each webinar attended and will be sent via email in PDF form about five business days after the conclusion of the series.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

Mr. Smith is president of Hydropower International Services Inter-National Consultancy, L.L.C. (HISINC, L.L.C.), which was formed in 2000 as a private consulting firm to provide technical engineering services, including project management for floodplain management and stormwater development projects. HISINC, L.L.C. is also involved in project identification missions, feasibility studies, design, and construction management for mini, small, and medium hydroelectric generating projects, and other hydrologic and hydraulic engineering services both domestically and internationally. Previous to creating his own consulting firm, Mr. Smith was a senior project manager for The Benham Group for over 25 years. Mr. Smith was presented the 1996 Newsmaker Award from Engineering News Record and was listed in International Who’s Who of Professionals in 1995. Mr. Smith received his certification as a floodplain manager in 2004, and has been a member of the Oklahoma Floodplain Managers Association (OFMA) since January 2004. Mr. Smith is currently past chair of OFMA, chair of the training cadre, Region 2 representative, and the OFMA Disaster Response Team (DRT) coordinator.  Mr. Smith was educated as a hydrologist, and he has used this expertise to be involved in floodplain management, hydrological analyses, floodplain mapping, hydraulic analyses for almost 40 years in Oklahoma.
